Although she can’t pick her favorite memory, her top three were: senior bonfire at camp, rookie run this year, and “MAYA! BACK. TO. YOUR. BED. NOW! ??”

Hey Pachuco & Tank!

She hopes to attend the University of Michigan Ann Arbor to major in Aerospace Engineering and minor in Music. Aside from marching band, she wants to join her college’s Orchestra as a Tuba player and take part in a studio jazz band as a Bari Sax player!

She wants to thank Mr. Ridenour for always pushing her to pursue music and for being such a huge influence on her throughout high school. She also wants to thank Mr. Tockstein for inspiring her as a leader, both in and out of band. And of course, she wants to thank her friends and family for always being there through every tough moment and every success.

Thank you for turning long rehearsals into unforgettable memories and for showing me what it truly means to belong. We’ve pushed each other, laughed together, and grown into something stronger than any of us could be alone. I’ll carry every inside joke, every pep-talk, and every late-night bus ride with me long after this season ends. Thank you for being my people and I’m so proud of us. Keep playing music!

My favorite band memory was last year during CMU- copying the cheerleaders and dancing along with them was so fun and it made me happy to be apart of it. Also the seniors all sitting around eating the oreos...

I'm planning to either go to Wayne state to study mortuary science or go to EMU to get a degree in music education.

Thank you to my mom and dad for driving me to all the rehearsals before I got my license and supporting me through all of band. Also thank you to all my friends I've made. LOVE Y'ALLL??

Please please please stay in band, it's hard but it's so rewarding. I loved spending my senior marching season with all of you and I can't believe its already over.

My favorite band memory was doing cabin wars and seeing Henry dressed as Princess Peach. It was so funny and I wanted to laugh so hard, but I had to lock in because I’m nonchalant. These were my favorite memories of band camp.

To Catch a Thief

I’m undecided as to what college I’m attending right now as I may be moving out of state, but the college I do join, I’ll be joining their band. I’m planning to major in music as my goal is to be an accompanist for movies and potentially artists.

I want to thank everyone for the love and support of the band. I’m happy to celebrate our last marching season. Man, it was so great to have everyone believe in us because that helped boost our confidence, which helped us win competitions. I’m sure everyone will miss us going forward. Thank you to mom and dad for supporting me throughout not only this season, but for the 4 years I’ve been in band. I love you guys.

Hey guys! Don’t feel alone and try to do things on your own because we’re here to support each other. You have friends to help when you’re frustrated, that will help with problems you’re having, and friends that will help pick you up. Never give up on yourself and what you want to do. Always believe in yourself and know you will succeed. It was great to have you guys and being able to see each of us grow and become more successful as band members. Be you and never let others change who you are.

I have a ton of favorite memories so its a little hard to choose. Id say rookie run for sure. The Mr. Billy incident, the three hour incident, and the bubble incident. Beating Ali E and sayif up in the back of the bus with amir, and tacobell with tockstein. i wrote six or seven (LOL six seven, Audibly say this part too pls)

I plan to Major in philosophy, politics, and economics at the university of MIchigan with a minor in arab american studies and international relations over at the university of michigan. I want to become the mayor of this city and eventually attorney general of the state.

talk to people khayi. you will gain nothing being the quiet kid that no one talks to. be the person that when you walk into a room, people want to talk to you. be kind, loving, compassionate, and it will take you farther than you could possibly imagine.

I plan to attend Western Michigan to Major in Audio Engineering and continuing learning guitar to hopefully audition to become a Studio Guitarist for a Record label as well as venturing out into my own side projects

I was say thank you to so many people but mainly I wanna thank Mr. Ridenour for giving me the chance to join Jazz band with no previous experience and Mr. Tockstein for pushing me to do more then I thought I could.

Its easy to watch it all go by in a blur and to get caught up in the push of it all, make sure to take time to enjoy it and to make memories that you'll forever remember

Sooo much to choose from so here are my favorites in no particular order: 1.) Doing rookie run my senior year at band camp. It became less about scaring the freshman and more about the seniors bonding and making secret and unforgettable memories 2.) The 2nd night of Drum Major Camp with Hana when we did deep level stalking and joined a love island live and spoke in it at 2am 3.) the entirety of my junior year marching season when I flourished as drum minor with all of my friends.

Ghost Ship part 1

Plans to Major and get my masters in Social Work to become a licensed clinal therapist, while also minoring in music studies. I plan on going wherever offers me the most money lol.

Thank you so much to Mr. Tockstein and Mr. Ridenour for giving me the opportunity to grow within the program, and always supported my goals and visions. Thank you to Sophie Monolidis and Hana Nasser for being the best drum majors I could’ve possibly worked with! Thank you to the class of ‘26 for always supporting me and being there. Love you all!

Make connections with everyone in the program! You don’t need to be friends with someone to still have a good relationship with them and to learn more about them. Branch out outside your clique and learn other people’s perspective and identities through one common entity: music.

There’s so many to choose from, but here we go. Rookie run, one hundred percent, is a favorite. Getting tockstein to eat unseasoned boiled lamb eyes is a close second, and simply all the laughs and memories I’ve made with the people here at band camp and beyond that.

Ghost Ship Part 2 and On Angels Wings

I plan to attend university, hopefully U of M Ann Arbor, and major in prelaw, before going to law school. I hope one day to be a judge or a very well known attorney.

I want to thank my parents for always supporting my journey with music. I also want to thank my friends for always being there

Just have fun. Make memories, keep going. Don’t be too quiet of a person, you’ll make connections that way. And no matter how hard it gets, don’t quit band.

One message I would like to leave with everyone is don't care about what others think and just be yourself and have fun

Thank you to my parents, who have supported me through everything. Whether it was the late nights or early rehearsals, they always had my back. And thank you to Mr. Tockstein as well, for always pushing me to improve and keeping me in love with music.

My favorite band memory is when I snuck up on Mr. Ridenour at band camp, in the dark wearing my homemade jigsaw mask and jump scaring him at our Halloween themed cabin!

I plan on majoring in criminal justice to become an investigator, selling more of my art, and continuing to fit in all my fun little hobbies!

Thank you so so much to all of the friends I’ve made along the way and to many people in the band for helping me build my confidence, being there for me, and lifting me up. And to my family for being there for me through these years, supporting me without hesitation.

Your life is what you make of it! There are always new days ahead of you, don’t get discouraged it will be okay even when it doesn’t feel like it sometimes, you got this and never give up! Be your own supporter, look after yourself, make memories every day, and never put your own self down! And don’t forget to spread kindness, you and everyone around you needs uplifting sometimes! I really wish you all the best!!

All of band camp senior year. Bringing back rookie run, being in a cabin with some of my best friends, drumline feeling like a close family, rehearsals no matter how hard they were we always pushed through them, the disgusting sandwich we made Tockstein eat, senior ladder, senior bonfire, and lastly and most importantly getting to share the experience of my last and best band camp with my mom.

I plan to act in local theaters to become a better actor and hopefully make it to broadway or off broadway. I would also like to continue to play drumset and join different types of bands.

I want to thank all my best friends for making my experience in band even more fun than I could have ever imagined, I want to thank Mr Ridenour for giving me the opportunity to be in band and Mr Tockstein for continuing to give me opportunities with leadership and more, and I want to thank my family and girlfriend for always supporting me through my journey in band and pushing me to continue my music journey.

Just keep doing it, stay in band, don’t let anyone bring you down, you are all so talented, the band is lucky to have you all.

"Nahhhhh" cried Mr. Tockstein, as he fiercely shook his head. Multiple chanting happened at the same time, pressuring him to say the golden line. After three times of revolution, he raised his eye brow at an instant."Just give me my money!" The crowd went wild.

To Catch a Thief

After 4 years of no mentions of music majoring, I'm proud to say that I want to study music performance for piano in Ann Arbor's SMTD program. My passion project is to launch movements of benefit concerts for elders in nursing homes worldwide.

I'd like to thank Mom and Dad for the amount of times they driven for me. They supported me since the beginning and I never taken it for granted. Shoutout to all my family members. Mr. Tockstein for his mentorship since middle school. The entire Crestwood Band Boosters. Ridenour. My three drumline instructors who taught me not only musicianship, but also discpline.

To the band members, I thank you all for the company we had throughout the years. Think about how many kids you've inspired by choosing band and promoting music. Especially our 8th graders, you would remember when the band had a big influence in you that eventually made you join band. There's a reason why I want to pursue music in the future, and I hope in the process of this, you get to find your own reason for it.
