Crestwood School District Band

I think one of my favorite band memories would be freshman year during Christmas when the band fairy paid us all a visit. We got little goodie bags with fun activities like a little build a reindeer kit. I’d say that was my absolute favorite day that year because everyone was being silly and just having a good time together. I guesss winning section wars at band camp was pretty cool too.

I plan to hopefully be able to study physical medicine at Eastern Michigan University. I’m also aiming to be apart of their marching band!

Thank you to my parents, words can’t explain how much I love and appreciate you guys for the unconditional support you’ve given me through this journey. Thank you to my sister for making fun of me for being in band yet still cheering me on. Thank you Mr. Ridenour and Mrs. Rechul for keeping this phenomenal program alive. You guys have shown me the beauty of music, thank you for being my inspiration. Thank you all for just being incredible people. The countless memories we’ve made together will always hold a special place in my heart.

I’m so glad to have been able to spend the last 8 years with the people i love most. I’ve watched you all grow into such amazing and talented people. Continue to grow this family! Remember every moment of it, cherish every moment of it, and above all, have fun!

My favorite band memory would be band camp during the senior sunrise, it was just burst of emotions and beautiful at the same time. I never really expected to rejoin band through high school to be honest but after middle school had nothing exciting to look forward during the school day until I rejoined, I was welcomed back with open arms. It was just so heartwarming and exciting to see everyone that stayed all through my years!

I would say Bang Bang, It’s an amazing opener!

My plans for the future are, I plan on attending Ohio University to study business and I hope to own my own business one day. I also hope to still be apart of band at OU if possible or joining a club that has to do with band.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation and gratitude to my family, band director, and friends for making my time in the band an absolute blast. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and friendship have made every rehearsal, performance, and shared moment incredibly enjoyable. From the laughter-filled practices to the exhilarating competitions, your presence and camaraderie have made this journey unforgettable. Thank you for being the driving force behind the fun and making my band experience truly special.

I honestly it’s sad to for me to be writing this to you guys cause time goes by fast, but my message to you guys is enjoy every moment don’t let the bad days get to you and make the good days last as much as you can. I believe in every single one of you. Your all honesty the best and it’s been a pleasure to have worked so hard with all of you!

My favorite memory would be Lachelle relocating my right ankle back into place on the bus during our break at our DeWitt Competition while underclassmen watched me cry. Close second would be going to Camp Cavel and discovering that you can make a place into a home in less than a week.

Plans for the future are to go study at an amazing University and become a Nurse Anesthetist for either humans or Pet animals!

Thank you to my parents for their unwavering support in aiding my way through life and teaching me how to always become a better version of myself. To my brother Omar, for making me laugh every time I needed to and being such an amazing role model to look up to. To my friends that are probably crying right now, for caring about me so much and always wanting to see me shine. And Last but certainly not least Mr. Ridenour and Mrs. Rechul for showing me the power of music and how you can move an audience with that power.

Guys! You all are so amazing and each and every single one of you has a spot in my heart! Remember that life will get tough but you are tougher, so stop, breathe, get back up and always hit harder than before.

My favorite band memory was the day before winter break sophomore year when the whole class decorated sugar cookies it was so wholesome and fun.

Lara's plans for the future are to hopefully attend Wayne State University. Where she will pursue a future in psychology and medicine. She plans on getting her Ph.D. in psychology and being a doctor just like her amazing mom. After, this she plans on opening her own practice.

She wants to thank her mom for always dealing with her busy schedule and cooking good food for when she comes home from the 8 p.m. rehearsals, she also wants to thank Ridenour for always motivating her to not quit and use music to express herself.

DO NOT QUIT EVER even on the hard days accept them and move on! Kajana, Connor, and Ali I love you all so much and can't wait to see you guys shine on the field next year. ALSO LACHELLE MORLAND JONES AND SALMA BAROUDI I LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!

Band camp, both years. Going to sleep at 3 AM and waking up two hours later to see the sunrise over the lake. Playing endless rounds of Gaga ball and volleyball. And of course, the seniors DOMINATING song burst. OO AH AH, YOU WISH YOU WERE A SENIOR. Sometimes.

I plan to study business and eventually law at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

Thank you to my parents, Jim and Caroline Jomaa, as well as my sister, Savannah Jomaa for supporting me throughout this journey since fifth grade. Thank you to Mr. Ridenour and Ms. Rechul for teaching me everything I know and giving me the opportunity to lead this band. Thank you to all the band boosters and band parents who do so much for the the band that often goes unnoticed. Thank you to everyone in band who I’ve met along the way that has helped make this the most memorable experience of my life.

Stand up straight. Shoulders back. Chin up. Take pride in your work and efforts and no matter what, keep marching forward.

My Favorite Band Memory is reviving best overall member and getting MVP this year for camp! It was great to really turn drumline around to one of the best sections ever :)

I plan to play collegiate Basketball OR volleyball while studying engineering! I’m not committing to a school for some time.

Thank you Mr.Ridenour, Ms.Rechul, Dan Cenci, and Lee Smith for giving me the “greatest gift you can ever have”…music. You guys changed my life and I wouldn’t have become the musician I am without all the laughs, the jokes, the zooms, the farts, and encouragement. Thanks to my family and friends for always supporting me in the millions of things I do for Crestwood, you guys make everything possible!

To the future Marching Chargers, please keep the program alive and strong! You guys are all so strong and amazing in your own fields and sections. You have the power to turn our band to a hundred person band one day, don’t ever let anyone take away your passion and drive for music!

I have so many good memories of us, but I always come back to the spring concert we did in 7th grade. We performed with the 8-12th graders and played a variety of popular music from across decades. The concert was outside on the field and I remember feeling elated, inspired, and powerful.

I plan on going to college to study film production and pursuing a creative career mostly as a writer - books, movies, plays, poems, songs, or whatever else I'm feeling. Adventure awaits!

Thank you to my parents for the superhuman amount of energy, patience, and extra effort poured into supporting me and my dreams. Thank you to the rest of my family for supporting me as well, to Mr Ridenour and Ms. Rechul for teaching me, the boosters for working like crazy to make it all happen, and to my band mates for believing in me.

You don't have to be the best, feel okay, or be having a good day to make great things happen. All you need to do is show up. Remember that the next time you're feeling uncertain or nervous. Just show up, and see what amazing things happen when you do.

The weekend of our first football game last year, it was the neon football game and everyone went all out! The energy and excitement that that whole weekend brought was something i'll never forget.

Thank you to my wonderful family for always supporting me through everything and always being at all of my comps, and performances. Thank you to Mr. Ridenour and Mrs. Rechul for giving me these amazing experiences and opportunities from the past 8 years that i will carry with me forever. Thank you to my wonderful section for putting up with all my shenanigans for the past 3 years. Thank you to Sadina for being my rock for 8 years!! And Thank you to Sophie G, who made everything ten times funnier than it needed to be.

Stay positive, things happen, at the end of the day the only thing you can control is you, choose to focus on the positives and never take the time you have in this program for granted! To my wonderful section, keep being your strange little selves and keep being amazing! i love all of you guys!!
